How to Apply Your Hat Patch

Heat Press (Recommended)

1. Preheat your heat press to 300–320°F.
2. Position the patch where you want it on the hat.
3. Use a hat press or a heat press with a hat attachment for best results.
4. Apply medium to firm pressure for 15–20 seconds.
5. Allow the patch to cool completely before handling.
6. Check the edges. If needed, press again for an additional 5–10 seconds.

Household Iron (Temporary Option)

1. Set your iron to the cotton setting with no steam.
2. Place the patch in the desired location.
3. Cover with a pressing cloth or parchment paper.
4. Press firmly for 20–30 seconds without moving the iron.
5. Allow to cool and check adhesion. Repeat if necessary.

For Best Results

• A commercial hat press provides the strongest, most even bond.
• If the hat will receive heavy wear or frequent washing, stitching the patch around the edges is recommended for added durability.
• Always test heat settings on a similar material before applying to your finished hat.
